Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
These Terms govern your use of calendeus.com, the CalenDeus WordPress plugin (free and Pro), and any licence you buy from Fooderloo Ltd, trading as Ace and Zeros, a company registered in the Republic of Cyprus ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading the plugin, creating an account or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Products
- CalenDeus (free): a WordPress plugin, available at no cost.
- CalenDeus Pro: a paid add-on. Buying it gets you a licence key that unlocks Pro features on one WordPress site, access to Pro downloads and updates, and priority support as described below.
Features, limits and pricing are described on this website at the time of purchase. We may improve, change or remove features in future versions.
2. Software Licence (GPL)
The plugin's code is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. Nothing in these Terms restricts the rights the GPL gives you over the code.
What you buy with Pro is the licence key and the services attached to it: activation, access to official downloads and updates, and support. The key is personal to you. You may not share, resell or publish it, or use it to provide updates or support to others.
3. Licence Key, Activation and Updates
- One site per licence. Each key can be active on one WordPress site at a time. You can move it by deactivating it from your account or plugin settings and activating it elsewhere.
- Lifetime licence and updates. The licence does not expire and has no renewal fee. "Lifetime" means for as long as we continue to develop and distribute CalenDeus Pro. If we ever discontinue it, the version you have keeps working with its Pro features, but new updates stop.
- Licence checks. The Pro plugin periodically contacts calendeus.com to validate the key, as described in our Privacy Policy. If our server is temporarily unreachable, Pro keeps working through a grace period.
4. Purchases, Prices and Tax
- Pro is a one-time payment. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
- Prices are shown in US dollars or euros depending on your location, and are charged in the currency shown. Unless marked "incl. VAT", prices exclude VAT.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Where applicable, VAT or sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your location and shown before you pay. Business customers can enter a VAT ID.
- A price change or promotion after your purchase does not entitle you to a partial refund or price adjustment.
- Your licence key is emailed to you and appears in your account once payment is confirmed.
5. Refunds
Pro comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. The details are in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. A refunded or charged-back order's licence key is revoked.
6. Support
- Pro includes one year of priority support from the purchase date, via the support page or your account. After that, your licence, Pro features and updates keep working.
- Support covers installing, configuring and using CalenDeus, and bugs in the plugin. It does not cover custom development, third-party themes or plugins, hosting or server problems, or third-party services (such as Google Calendar or CalDAV providers).
- We respond as quickly as we reasonably can, but we do not guarantee specific response or resolution times.
7. Your Account
You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep access to that mailbox secure: anyone who can read it can sign in to your account. Tell us promptly if you think your account or licence key has been misused.
8. Your Responsibilities
- Your site and your data. You run CalenDeus on your own website. You are responsible for your hosting, security, WordPress updates and regular backups. Back up your site before installing or updating any plugin.
- Your visitors' data. You are the data controller for the bookings and personal data collected on your site. You are responsible for your own privacy notice, lawful basis and consent, and for complying with laws such as the GDPR.
- Your bookings. CalenDeus is a scheduling tool. You are responsible for checking your bookings, availability and calendar sync, and for your dealings with your own customers.
- Third-party services. Integrations such as Google Calendar, CalDAV providers and email delivery depend on services we do not control. Their availability, changes and terms are outside our responsibility.
- Lawful use. Do not use the plugin, this website or the licence system for anything illegal, or try to disrupt, overload or get around the licence and download systems.
9. Suspension and Revocation
We may revoke a licence key if the order is refunded or charged back, if the key is shared, resold or published, or if it is used to abuse our systems. Where reasonable, we will contact you first. The GPL-licensed code you already have stays yours.
10. Disclaimer
We build CalenDeus carefully and test it, but software can contain bugs, and WordPress sites vary widely. To the extent permitted by law, the plugin and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every theme, plugin or host, or fit for a particular purpose. This does not affect the statutory rights consumers have for digital content that does not work as described.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, revenue, business, bookings, or lost or corrupted data.
- Our total liability to you for any claim relating to CalenDeus or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the licence the claim relates to. For the free plugin, that amount is zero.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for damage caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. It also does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify customers by email. The Terms in force when you made a purchase continue to apply to that purchase.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
